His research interests include board governance, healthcare management, and higher education administration. He is the former president of The University of Akron, former Provost at The University of Toledo, and the former Senior Vice President and Executive Director of The University of Toledo Medical Center. He teaches business strategy and healthcare management for the Department of Management and Advanced Managerial Accounting for the Department of Accounting at The University of Akron.
