About Scott B. Fosdick

Scott Fosdick worked as a drama critic and/or entertainment editor for ten years in Chicago, New Jersey, and Baltimore, before earning his doctorate at Northwestern. His articles have appeared in a variety of newspapers and magazines, including Stagebill, American Theatre, Family Life, Parenting and The Sunday New York Times. He has advised student magazines at three schools, two of which have won first place for general excellence in the AEJMC student magazine contest. He has experience with journalism programs at a leading research university (The University of Wisconsin) and at two leading universities that combine research and practical journalism education (Northwestern University and the University of Missouri, Columbia). He is a historian of arts journalism, focusing mostly on the United States at the beginning of the 20th century.
