About Scott A. Conger

Dr. Scott A. Conger joined the faculty of the Department of Kinesiology at Boise State University in 2013. He received his Ph.D. in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise physiology in 2011 from the University of Tennessee. Prior to beginning his doctoral work, he held appointments as the laboratory manager at the Nutrition, Metabolism, and Exercise Laboratory at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and as the research coordinator at the Spinal Cord Injury Exercise Laboratory at the University of Michigan. He has been involved in research projects studying a variety of populations including military personnel, recreational and elite athletes, elderly adults, pregnant women, individuals with spinal cord injuries, as well as individuals with chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and renal failure. Dr. Conger is an ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist, an ACSM Certified Health Fitness Specialist, and an American Red Cross CPR-Professional Rescuer.
