Abstract
This letter, written by Dr. Shappell, is in response to a letter to the editor of Aerospace Medicine and Human Performance, written by Bruce Burnham, about Dr. Shappell's article titled, "Evaluating the Reliability of the Human Factors Analysis Classification System," published in volume 86, no. 8, August, 2015, of the same journal. Mr. Burnham's letter also appears in volume 88, no. 6, June 2017, on page 597. Dr. Shappell's letter addresses Mr. Burnham's comments about the HFACS.
