Abstract
This letter corrects a statement in the literature review by N. K. Takla et al. ("Combat Stress, Combat Fatigue, and Psychiatric Disability in Aircrew," published in the September 1994 issue of Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine, v. 65, iss. 9, pp. 858-865) regarding combat stress and fatigue in aircrews. In providing a synopsis of research conducted on aircrews, Takla et al. stated, "Again, administration of dextro-methamphetamine significantly reduced the reported fatigue." This statement incorrectly implied that D. F. Neri and S. A. Shappell administered amphetamines to aircrews. The letter appeared in v. 66, iss. 4, of Aviation, Space, and Environmental Medicine, April 1995, p. 386.
