CARLI SFX Documentation: Loading Print Serial Information into an SFX Instance

Abstract
These instructions are divided into the two parts. Part I is designed to help libraries decide whether to upload information about print (and microform, if appropriate) journal titles into their local SFX instance. CARLI libraries are not required to upload print title information into SFX; this is an optional load at the library’s discretion.
Part II is specifically for CARLI I-Share libraries and details how to upload this information into a local SFX instance. This process requires basic knowledge of Microsoft Access in the CARLI reporting environment (to retrieve print title data from the Voyager database) and Microsoft Excel (to edit data files). Library staff who are not familiar with these software packages should consult with others locally (or use Excel’s Help screens) as needed with these tasks.
