About Sarah K. Clark

Dr. Sarah Clark is an Assistant Professor of Elementary Education at Utah State University. Dr. Clark received her Ph.D. from Utah State University with an emphasis in Literacy and Teacher Education. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Language, Reading, and Culture from the University of Arizona. Dr. Clark teaches undergraduate courses in literacy assessment and instruction for struggling readers, as well as graduate courses in the supervision of school reading programs, and effective practices of literacy specialists and literacy coaches.
Dr. Clark’s research interests are in the areas of literacy education, teacher preparation, support for novice teachers, and support for struggling readers. Dr. Clark has published in both national and international literacy and teacher education journals. Her research methodology involves quantitative, qualitative, as well as mixed methods to explore instructional practices that will enhance and increase student achievement.
