About Sarah D Calhoun

In addition to my Masters degree in Library and Information Studies, I hold an MA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Languages and Cultures of Asia. While there, I specialized in Theravada Buddhism in Sri Lanka and Thailand, having become interested in it as an undergraduate in Religious Studies at Carleton College.
I have studied many languages, including: Hindi, Pali, Sanskrit, Sinhala, Thai, French, and Russian. I also have studied linguistics and quite enjoy learning new scripts for transliteration purposes. So far, I've successfully picked up Tamil and Panjabi.
