About Sarah Sass

Sarah Sass conducts research on the treatment and prevention of high levels of anxiety and depression. She approaches this work using various methods, including psychophysiological ones (such as EEG and event-related potentials). This work aligns with culturally-informed treatment approaches and delivery methods that reduce barriers to care, particularly in rural populations. She collaborates in this work with faculty in psychology, counseling, education and engineering, has published articles in top-tier journals, and teaches courses at the graduate and undergraduate level including abnormal psychology, applied therapy skills, cultural diversity, and cognitive behavioral treatment approaches.
