Abstract

Influenza infection most commonly affects the upper and lower respiratory tracts, but can involve extrapulmonary sites, including the myocardium. We report on a case of myocarditis caused by documented 2009 pandemic H1N1 influenza in a previously healthy adult, and review the literature on influenza myocarditis. © 2010 The Authors.
