About Sarah Beman, PhD

Sarah has taught at St. Catherine University since October of 2006. Sarah is currently nursing faculty teaching primarily in the MSN - Entry Level Program (MSNEL). She specializes in simulation and is the MSNEL Simulation Coordinator. Previous work at St. Kates includes Interim Program Director of the MSNEL Program, Collaborative Practice Site Coordinator between the HSSH and the MDVA, Coordinator and then director of the Associate Degree Nursing Program. Sarah's clinical practice began at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) on the Cardiac and Renal Unit and then the Newborn Intensive Care Unit. During the summer, Sarah volunteers as a nurse at YMCA Camp Icaghowan and coordinates the student nurse internship program between the YMCA of the North overnight camps and St. Kates. In 2017, she completed her Ph.D. in Nursing at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
