About Sandro Montresor

Main research fields are in innovation studies. I am interest in the role of inter-firm and inter-sectoral relationships for increasing innovation and productivity, at the country and regional level.
I have a Bachelor in Economics (from the University of Verona, Italy, 1992), a Master of Arts in Economics (from the University of Manchester, UK, 1995), and a Ph.D in Structures and Economic Behaviors (from the University of Bologna, Italy, 1998).
From 1993 to 1999 I have worked at the National Research Council of Italy (at the IDSE-CNR of Milan), with different research contracts. From 2000 to 2005 I have been Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna (Italy). From 2005 to 2011, Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna, being director of the International Master in Development, Innovation and Change (MiDIC) and lecturer of both undergraduate (e.g. Economics) and postgraduate courses (e.g. Economics of Innovation).
From October 2011 untile October 2013, I have been visting the JRC-IPTS of the European Commission (Seville, Spain) as senior research grant-holder, being member of the Knowledge for Growth Unit (Action on Industrial Research and Innovation).
From October 2014, I have been appointed full professor of economic policy at the Kore University of Enna (Italy), Faculty of Economics and Law.
