About Sandra W. Harner, M.A.

Professor Harner began teaching at Cedarville University in 1981. She developed the technical and professional communication program for Cedarville University in 1984 and directed the program throughout the remainder of her career, successfully bringing the program from its inception as a minor to a full major. Professor Harner served eight years on the international board of directors for the Society for Technical Communication (STC) as the Assistant to the President for Academic and Research Program. She serves industry as a consultant for clear and effective writing. She has received several STC awards and was named a Fellow in 2001. Professor Harner retired in 2017.
