About Sandra Logan-McKibben

Sandra (Sandi) Logan-McKibben has been a counselor educator for nearly 10 years, serving students in Florida, Alabama, and Texas. Prior to earning her doctorate, she worked as an elementary and middle school counselor in Southern California, was the district-level Tobacco Use, Prevention, and Education (TUPE) Coordinator, and was a site supervisor for practicum and internship students.  Her specific research interests include school counseling supervision and school counseling leadership. She has served in multiple leadership roles with various state and national counseling associations, including California Association of School Counselors, Florida School Counselor Association, and Chi Sigma Iota International. Additionally, she serves on the editorial board of numerous journals, including the Journal of Specialists in Group Work and Teaching & Supervision in Counseling. She has taught undergraduate courses, as well as Master’s and doctoral-level courses in Counselor Education.   Recently, she co-authored her first book, The Ultimate School Counselor’s Guide to Assessment & Data Collection. In her spare time, she is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher who specializes in Yin & Restorative Yoga, and also enjoys spending time with her husband at the beach.
