About Samuel J.B. Asarnow

Asarnow's work examines the intersection of moral philosophy, action theory, and metaethics. His research focuses on the central concepts used in moral philosophy and related fields, with a special focus on concepts relating to human motivation, such as intention and acting for a reason.
EDUCATION: B.A. Swarthmore College; Ph.D. Stanford University.
Asarnow has been teaching at Macalester since 2015.
