Dr. Hammond does research in traffic engineering for roads and highways, specializing in roundabouts (traffic circles). He has three years of industrial experience in civil and construction engineering, and is proficient in analytical problem solving related to human factors and transportation systems, traffic impact studies, capacity and LOS analysis, signal timing and phasing sequence, traffic simulation, GIS applications in transportation engineering, and traffic calming.
