About Sable Kessler

Sable Canales is a physics instructor who enjoys working with students to develop mathematic skills and a love for science. Seeing the student's excitement about new phenomena and encouraging them through the problem-solving process energizers and motivates her. During her first year of teaching, she compiled various science resources and labs to help her prepare for teaching biology, chemistry, and 7th- and 8th-grade science. This process caused her to want to have a dedicated location that SDA teachers could look for resources in science. As the new STEM Coordinator at Andrews University, she has been working toward making this resource website into a reality.

Her biggest accomplishment to date was presenting an interdisciplinary diffusion lab at the American Association of Physics Teachers Winter 2023 conference. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, swimming, playing music, and crocheting.
