About Ryan Horton

My undergraduate major is Aerospace Engineering with a minors in Economics and Material Science. I currently work in the Complex Structures and Mechanics of Solids (COSMOS) Laboratory at U.C.F. under Dr. Ranajay Ghosh. My plans for my career are set on enrolling in a master’s program for Aerospace Engineering, and eventually entering into the industry either during or after graduate school. From my time spent in the military, research, and engineering projects, I’ve become an experienced, dedicated, and committed individual driven to succeed. The research I’m currently involved in has a main focus on both the material sciences and the mechanical analysis of scaled substrates fabricated with the purpose of enhancing their properties.
