About Ryan Anderton

Ryan completed undergraduate studies at Murdoch University, majoring in biomedical science, molecular biology and forensic biology, finishing with a first class honours. Ryan pursued a PhD at the University of Western Australia through the Australian Neuromuscular Research Institute and school of medicine. His research focussed on a juvenile motor neuron disease, spinal muscular atrophy, and the role of the survival of motor neuron protein. Ryan is currently involved in a range of neuroscience and genetic research projects, co-authoring numerous journal articles. He currently coordinates and lectures in anatomy, physiology, neuroscience and molecular genetics units within the school of health sciences. Ryan has a passion for promoting teaching innovation, student engagement and an enjoyable tertiary experience.
