About Russell C. Hardie

I am a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Dayton, holding a joint appointment with the Department of Electro-Optics and Photonics. Before coming to UD in 1993, I was a senior scientist at Earth Satellite Corp. (now MDA Federal) in Maryland. My research interests include a wide range of topics in the area of digital signal and image processing. My focus has been in signal and image restoration and enhancement. This includes developing innovative algorithms for overcoming limitations of non-ideal sensors through post-processing. An emphasis here has been on multiframe image superresolution. I am also active in machine learning, medical image processing and analysis, and hyperspectral image processing.
