About Rupa Seetharamaiah

Rupa Seetharamaiah, M.D., is a Board-certified general surgeon and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. She specializes in weight-loss surgery and has extensive training in robotic and laparoscopic surgery for minimally invasive and bariatric procedures, including the Da Vinci Surgical System and the SPIDER Surgical System. Dr. Seetharamaiah received her medical degree from the University of Mysore in Mysore, India, and completed her residency at the University of Mississippi. She then completed a fellowship in the Advanced Minimally Invasive & Bariatric Surgery program at Baptist Health. She is a member of the American Board of Surgery, American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Florida State Medical Association, and the James D. Hardy Society. Dr. Seetharamaiah is an assistant professor of surgery at Florida International University's Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
