Abstract
Review of Yarn Spinners (Brandl & Schlesinger, 2016), Marilla North's  study, told through their letters, of the personal and literary relationships between three Australian feminist writers - Miles Franklin (1879-1954), Dymphna Cusack (1902-1981), and Florence James (1902-1993)- to the early years of the Cold War.
