About Rosemary Timmerman, DNP, APRN, CCRN-CSC-CMC, CCNS

Rosemary Timmerman has been a clinical nurse specialist since 2008 at PAMC, Anchorage, where she provides care and supports the nursing staff in caring for critically ill and injured adult patients in intensive care, cardiothoracic intensive care, cardiac intensive care and intermediate units. She is also adjunct faculty at University of Alaska, Anchorage and the University of Providence, where she has taught undergraduate nursing courses. Her previous positions include 25 years as a staff nurse in the intensive care unit. Timmerman is active in the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and served on their board of directors from 2016 through 2019.

She has presented regionally and nationally on topics such as vasoactive medications, hyperglycemic emergencies, alcohol withdrawal syndrome and sepsis. Her recently published work includes “Managing Vasoactive Infusions to Restore Hemodynamic Stability,” in Nursing 2016 Critical Care, and the chapter “Vasoactive Medications” in “Hemodynamic Monitoring: Evolving Technologies and Clinical Practice” in 2016.

Timmerman earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from University of South Alabama, Mobile, in 2015, a Master of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, in 2007, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Mary of the Plains College, Dodge City, Kansas, in 1981.
