About Ronald J. Ryel

My Education: 1977 BS Environmental Science - Michigan State University, 1980 MS Wildlife Ecology - Utah State University, 1994 PhD Plant Physiological Ecology - University of Würzburg, Germany.
My Research Interests:
 Assessing how plants affect ecosystem function through physiological processes.
 Plant responses to stresses, particularly in arid and semi-arid environments.
 Mechanisms affecting CO2 dynamics and water vapor fluxes in terrestrial ecosystems.
 Understanding molecular basis for physiological performance and limitations.
 Assessing the effects of UV radiation on production of secondary compounds in plants.
 Developing processed-based simulation models of plant physiological and ecosystem processes.
