About Ron J. Hammond

I have taught thousands of students here at UVU.  I came in 1992 when it was just a community college. Back then,  not being able to provide well-prepared  and high quality lessons was not tolerated.  I love teaching college and university students!  I know how to teach students so they can learn; how to push them enough to build their confidence in themselves as students; and how to teach them so that they succeed here at UVU and anywhere else they may transfer--even graduate programs.  I try to keep things interesting, to come prepared, to be fair toward students,  and to ask them for fairness in return. I have co-researched with hundreds of former students who co-presented with me at local, state, regional, and national conferences.  Some of my former students now have their own graduate degree and professional career. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of UVU SCULPT
