About Roman Beck

Roman Beck is an assistant professor and the E-Finance and Services Science Chair at Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, where he also earned his Ph.D. His research in services science focuses on the role of IT services sourcing, services management, and services engineering with a special focus on IS outsourcing, social media, and virtualization. From a theoretical perspective, Dr. Beck is interested in institutional logics of organizations, control balancing, as well as organizational mindfulness and awareness. He serves as senior editor for the Journal of Information Technology Theory and Application and has published over 100 conference papers and articles in journals such as Communications of the AIS, Information Technology and People, Scandinavian Journal of Information Systems, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, Communications of the ACM, Business and Information Systems Engineering, and others.
