About Robin Sherman
A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Sherman got her Bachelor’s (Ocean Studies, 1994), Master’s (Marine Biology, 1996), and Doctoral (Oceanography) degrees at NSU. Since graduating from the NSU Oceanographic Center in 2000 she has served as faculty, associate director of Math, Science, and Technology in the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, and now serves as Associate Dean of the Hamos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography. Dr. Sherman has conducted research in several areas including artificial reef function and most recently fish vascular physiology. She has supervised both undergraduate and graduate research. Has served as thesis advisor to four Master of Science students and is currently serving on two doctoral dissertation committees. She has received federal grant funding from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to spearhead the Osborn Tire Reef Cleanup and was awarded the Coastal America 2008 Partnership Award for her role in that environmental restoration project.
