About Dr Robert Simons

Dr Robert Simons is a Principal Research Fellow in the Education Policy and Practice Program at ACER.
He has been Project Director for evaluations of: 1) National Australia Bank’s (NAB’s) Schools First awards program; 2) ASIC’s Helping Our Kids Understand Finances (HOKUF); 3) DEEWR’s Empowering Local Schools (ELS) (2012-2014); and, 4) beyondblue’s redeveloped online model of Mind Matters (2014-2016).

In addition, Dr Simons was a consultant for DEEWR in the revision of standards of evidence for the National Partnership Agreement (NPA) on Literacy and Numeracy and is also a member of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth’s (ARACY’s) Expert Reference Group on Parent Engagement for partnerships between families and schools in supporting, promoting and encouraging children's learning and wellbeing.
