Abstract
The keynote address to the UNWTO Resilience Committee in Astana, Kazakhstan. Discusses how the great recession of 2007-09 compares to other global crises including the great depression, provides a medium-term outlook, makes some policy recommendations, and draws some implications of this for the tourism sector.
