His tax experience includes over six years working with the IRS, as well as an additional six years in private law practice. He was involved in tax and accounting consulting while teaching at Campbell.
Loftis taught Accounting, Entity Taxation, Estate Administration, Individual Income Tax and Business Planning. He has also taught Business Organizations, and has lectured for the bar review in the area of Agency and Partnership.
