Robert Sterken is a Professor of Political Science at UT Tyler. Sterken is the author many articles, chapters, and books, including The Kings of Buddhism: Power, Religion, and Fury in Myanmar, “Bill Ratliff: A Profile in Courage and Leadership in American Politics” and, “Teaching Barefoot in Burma” (https://amazon.com/author/robertsterken). Sterken is currently writing a book about the murder of a downed flyer in World War II. Sterken was a Senior Fulbright Scholar in Yangon University in Burma/Myanmar in 2015-2016 and also a Fulbright Specialist in China at Jilin University in 2018 (https://www.uttyler.edu/spotlight/robert-sterken.php). At UT Tyler, Sterken regularly teaches courses on Texas Politics, Religion & Politics, International Relations, and Asian Politics.
