The EITC Ban - Further Thoughts, Part One
Procedurally Taxing blog (2019)

Abstract
The National Taxpayer Advocate issued a significant report recently addressing problems with the administration of the Earned Income Tax Credit, including the application of an automatic ban for future years if the taxpayer intentionally or recklessly disregarded rules and regulations. This blog post addressed the question of judicial review for ban determinations. A second post will recommend how to implement such judicial review and a third post will address recommendations related to the ban determination process itself.
