In 2016, Cancer Care Ontario (CCO) released their Recommended Best Practices for Delivery of Colposcopy Services in Ontario, which included recommendations to incorporate human papillomavirus (HPV) testing into the initial assessment and discharge of women from colposcopy. Our regional colposcopy program has monitored our experience with implementation, including the logistics of setting up clinical and testing pathways, the results, acceptability of testing, and barriers to testing.
