Dr. Upadhyay writes articles, research articles, non-fiction titles, children's, poems, etc. He was born to Indian parents, Pitambar Upadhaya (father) and Nandakala (Bawni) Upadhaya (mother) in Bhanjang Basti, Haflong, a small Nepalis’ hamlet in the district headquarter of North Cachar Hills (now Dima Hasao) in the Indian states of Assam. His works have been appeared, quoted and cited in several international journals and books of repute.
