About Rima Y. Mullins

Professor Mullins joined the Florida International University College of Law faculty in 2017. Mullins received her law degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, where she graduated with high honors and was Senior Research Editor of the Florida Law Review. Professor Mullins received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Brown University.

Professor Mullins entered private practice after law school, as an associate at KL&Gates and then as counsel at White & Case. Professor Mullins’ practice focused on complex civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country, at both the trial and appellate levels. She has extensive experience in class actions, complex business disputes and international torts. At both firms, Professor Mullins was actively involved in the recruiting and mentoring of woman attorneys. She also testified before the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession regarding the challenges faced by women attorneys in private practice. Immediately prior to joining FIU College of Law, Professor Mullins served as a career federal law clerk for the Honorable Chris M. McAliley. Professor Mullins has spoken at several seminars on various issue of international law and is actively involved in the International Law Section of the Florida Bar.
