About Richard R Weiner

Weiner (PhD, Columbia) is a professor of political science at Rhode Island College, teaching political theory and comparative political sociology. He has returned to full-time teaching and scholarship after twenty years as dean of arts & sciences. Weiner also taught at the University of North Florida and London South Bank University, and served as visiting scholar at the London School of Economics and the Centre d'Étude des Mouvements Sociaux, EHESS in Paris. Author of "Cultural Marxism and Political Sociology," his articles have appeared in publications such asSociologie du Travail, NEH Modern China Project at the University of Chicago, Constellations, Central European Political Science Review, and Current Perspectives in Social Theory. Weiner is currently completing a book entitled Fugitive Intersubjectivity: Social Rights and the Governance of Social Law.
