The US Supreme Court Has Called Life "The Most Basic Human Right"
MercatorNet (2023)

Abstract
Originally prepared for an audience of Latin American law professors, this brief article eschews Dobbs's inward-gazing discussions of the14th Amendment to the US Constitution and of our peculiarly Anglo American tradition of stare decisis.

Instead, it focuses upon those highly important but often overlooked aspects of the Dobbs decision that are most relevant to a world-wide legal audience, For example, it highlights the absence of any allegation, in the majority or the dissenting opinions, that religious doctrine is determinative of the anti-abortion position.
