Abstract
This study cross-validates an older study that indicated that repression and psychopathology were positively related when a TAT index of repression was compared with psychopathology as defined by MMPI scale evaluations. This study found that the cross-validation failed. The tests themselves tap different levels of personality, overt behavior, and fantasy.
