Abstract
"I remember steam rising from Alabama earth on hot August nights. Words emerge like that when a familiar sign, sound or feeling triggers a memory. When this happens, listen, then commit the words to paper before they are lost in the mist of the emerging dawn. The poems within are reflections of the author's life experience, thoughts, and relationships that shaped him.
An Alabama native, the author has lived in Georgia, Texas and Illinois. His travels have taken him to three continents.
