Make it Work: Accommodating Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Mainstream classrooms

Abstract
This presentation will provide an overview of characteristics of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and will introduce a range of strategies, including environmental supports, behavioral supports, instructional supports, and social supports, for enhancing inclusion and academic success. This session is designed for pre-service teachers, literacy and administration candidates. Time will be allotted for Q&A.
