REZA J. POUDEH studied film and television in Iran and worked as a film and television director for the National Iranian Radio and Television Organization in 1970s.
He received a master’s degree in film from Boston University School of Communication in 1982. He then received his doctorate in Educational Technology from Boston University School of Education in May 1989.
He joined the faculty of the School of Communication in September 1989. Dr. Poudeh has taught film and video production and media aesthetics courses for the last 25 years. He has produced numerous documentaries and short films on 16 mm film and video. His research interests are in media aesthetics and the Iranian cinema. He has published a number of papers on Iranian cinema.
