Abstract

The status quobetweenRussia andwesterncountrieshas beenunstablesince the crisisinUkrainestartedinNovember 2013.Eveninthese unstabletimesitis importanttomaintain anddevelopbusinessliaisons.Eventually,whentheglobal environmentgetsbetter,emergingeconomieslikeRussiastilloffervastmarkets fordifferentkindofindustries frommachinery toconsumergoods.Theobjectiveof this study was tofindoutwhatkindof helpRussiancompaniesneedwhen theyare headingtowardsEU markets andwhatwouldbethe most profitable andefficient wayforSavonlinna BusinessServicestodeliverinformationandconsultancy servicesfor Russianclients.

 

Thetheory partofthisstudy discussestheoriesofinternationalizationand productization. The informationwas collected from books, articles and Internet. In theempiricalstudy qualitativeapproachwasutilizedandresearchwascarriedout by comparingliterature findingstotheinterviewsofbusinessserviceexpertsand observations ofdaily workrelatedtointernationalizationissues inSavonlinna BusinessServices.

 

Asaresult ofthisthesisitwasfound out thatRussiancustomersneedinformation onhowtostartabusinessinFinland/EUmarkets,assistancein findingbusiness partnersandinvestmentopportunitiesin Finland, and preferablyaRussian speakingbusiness coach toleadthewayona foreignmarket.Itwas alsofoundout thatthemostefficientwayofreachingseveralRussiancustomersatoncewould beoffering themaninformationalseminar incooperationwithRussianpartner organizations.Asa finalresultastandardizedseminar packageincluding different moduleswas productizedfor Russiancooperationpartners andcustomers.
