Defining Data Services: A Case Study on Process at a Large Research University Library

Abstract
In response to federal mandates for research data management, this large public research library established a Data Working Group to articulate the libraries’ role in the management and curation of research data campus-wide. The group conducted exploratory activities to understand the campus research environment. Hear how they used interviews, focus groups, and conversations with faculty to identify local concerns and needs surrounding data management.
