Rebecca Hovey retired as Dean for Global Studies and Director, Lewis Global Studies Center at Smith College, Northampton, MA in 2022. She previously served as Dean of SIT Study Abroad from 2001 - 2008, overseeing international education programming for over 2,000 students per year in over 45 countries. She received her Ph.D. from Cornell University in the field of City and Regional Planning with an emphasis on International Development Studies in Planning. Her academic work focuses on internationalization of higher education, global learning and critical pedagogy.
