About Dr Ping Yu

Dr Yu completed her PhD studies at the University of New England, Australia in 2000. She is an active member of Health Informatics Society of Australia, a board member of Nursing Informatics Australia, a senior fellow of Australasian College of Health Informatics and a senior member of IEEE Computer Society.
The University of Wollongong welcomed Dr Yu in 2002
Field of Study: Dr Yu’s research interest is the design, adoption, usage and performance of health information technology for improving quality, safety and efficiency of health care services. This includes three key research areas:
(1) Social, technical, cultural and organisational factors driving the adoption of information and communication technology by health and aged care organisations and workers;
(2) Health IT performance measurement; and
(3) Cognitive decision support for health care
