Abstract
Reviews of current knowledge and past research are essential for summarising and translating available evidence for policy makers, practitioners, researchers and funding bodies. Reviews can take many forms and have various ways of presenting, mapping, graphing and visualising results. This seminar starts by providing an overview of different review types in terms of aim, scope, search strategy, study identification and screening, timeframe, coding and presentation. It then illustrates three types of reviews through projects undertaken by the Australian Council for Educational Research
