Description
MSTC211 is a continuation and expansion of concepts and techniques begun in MSTC112. Through musical analysis, applied chord progressions, harmonization of melodies and composition of phrases, periods, and short pieces, we will investigate the following materials: Secondary (Applied, Borrowed) Dominants, Modulation, Linear (Embellishing) Diminished Seventh Chords, The Neapolitan Triad, Augmented Sixth Chords, Modulation by Other Means, and Ninth Chords.
