Professor Stephen Luttmann, director of the Skinner Music Library at the University of Northern Colorado, visited Mahāwitthayālai Mahidon/Mahidol University and the College of Music in January 2013. During his two-week visit he offered professional development opportunities for staff and made recommendations for the intended expansion of the Jiew Bang Sue Music Library. Working with Mahidol University’s College of Music and the MU Library and Knowledge Center, he presented a day-long session to over 70 library professionals from all over Thailand. Titled Current status and future trends of libraries in the U.S.A.,” it offered specialist information and advice concerning questions about music materials. In an interview, he reflects on his experience.
