About Pedro Blandon, MD, FASN, FACP

Pedro Blandon, MD, FACP, FASN is a born Nicaraguan, who completed his medical school with honors at the Universidad de Guadalajara in 1995. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2000, and completed his fellowship in Nephrology at the University of New Mexico in 2002.
 
In 2000 Dr. Blandon became board certified in Internal Medicine with Nephrology to follow in 2002. He later moved to Seaford, Delaware in 2003 to work as an Internal Medicine and Nephrology Consultant at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. After his work in the medically underserved area, he moved back to El Paso in 2006. From 2009 to 2015, Dr. Blandon worked as the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Blandon currently serves as program director for the HCA Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare Internal Medicine program.
 
Dr. Blandon enjoys dining and traveling with his family, spending time with his wife Marisa, his two kids Gracie 18 (Musical Theater major at NYU Tisch) and Pedro 12 (7th grader at St Pius Catholic School and soccer, basketball and Minecraft lover). Dr. Blandon enjoys playing amateur keyboard, guitar and bass. He is a believer in exercise and healthy living.
