About Skye Bickett

Skye Bickett, M.S., is the reference and education librarian for the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine who earned her MLIS from the University of South Carolina.
Mrs. Bickett provides support to faculty and students by assisting with research activities, offering education on the use of library resources, and creating online material to supplement course work.
She is an active member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), Medical Library Association (MLA), Southern Chapter of MLA (SC/MLA), Georgia Health Sciences Library Association (GHSLA), and Atlanta Health Science Library Consortium (AHSLC). She has served and continues to serve on several committees and in leadership roles. Select involvement includes MLA PDI Section Chair and AACP LIS Section Communications Committee Chair, and SC/MLA Chapter Council Rep-Alternate.
She has presented papers and posters at meetings for organizations such as AACP, MLA, and SC/MLA and has received five awards from the Southeast Atlantic Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. She serves as the editor for the Alternative and Complementary Therapies column of the Journal of Consumer Health on the Internet, as an Advisory Board Member for the Health Sciences Track of the Library and Information Science Program at Valdosta State University, and as a library selector for several sections of Doody’s Core Titles.
